More about dating for over a year and no i love you:
I love you. Just three tiny words made up of a mere eight letters that somehow manage to cause an infinite amount of joy and heartache. We seem to have collectively decided to put these words up on a lofty pedestal. Saying them or not can have a big impact, both on you and your partner. If you can handle that, I salute you. Here are a few signs to look out for:. You might have been casually dating on and off for months on end, meaning you could have been seeing each other for a year or more before the time is right. On the other hand, you might have met while travelling and spent every waking second of every day together, dating for over a year and no i love you six months of a normal relationship into one.
In terms of your life, one year probably isn't all that long of a time. But when you're in love, it can feel like infinity. When you're dating someone and I mean seriously dating, not just sleeping with them every couple of weeks for a year, you inevitably learn a lot about them. It's an arbitrary measure of time, for sure — one couple might learn a the same amount about each other in only a few weeks that it might take other couples years to learn, and neither scenario necessarily paints a picture of a "stronger" or "better" couple — and you might dating for over a year and no i love you know all the most intimate details of their past, or all their wildest hopes and dreams in a year. But you do get a very solid understanding of who they are as a person, especially if you're joined at the hip figuratively and literally for that year. And let's face it: a new couple in love is likely to be more than happy to spend a year staring into one another's eyes and drawing out all the secrets that live behind them. That sentence definitely made me feel like I might have a future career in YA. So while you don't know everything about someone after one year in reality, the perfect type of relationship will have you constantly learning, being challenged, and growingthere are going to be certain aspects of a person that you become very intimate with.
Further along down the relationship journey, he might be making thoughtful gestures like stocking the fridge with things he knows you will like for when you are at his place. Book your favorite restaurant; cook your favorite meal etc. Or he might do things for you where he puts himself out more, all because he really likes you. So, why am I telling all this? The reason is, that we all have our own love dating for over a year and no i love you and possibly yours is affirmation. Maybe you like to give and receive acknowledgement, but your partner might fall in to one of the above categories and shows his levels of interest in a slightly different way.
